Your brain is your most powerful tool. It motivates you, keeps you emotionally stable, focused and allows you to perform at your very best.
We spend so much time taking care of our bodies by working out, eating nutritious meals, booking massages and trips to the salon, yet we neglect to take care of our mind. And without our mind we have nothing at all.
This month we have introduced a new class; meditation + stretching. It is a class focussed equally on your body and on your mind. By beginning with gentle stretches to ease muscle soreness and improve flexibility, you release any built up tension allowing you to experience a deeper practice.
With the use of Tibetan singing bowls, your coach will create healing sound vibrations to help you enter a meditative state. Time is taken to focus on each individual’s space and you will begin to feel bathed in calming energy. It is then that your mind will start to clear. All of the chaotic thoughts that fill your day begin to line up clearly and in turn allow your mind to relax.
For those who have never tried meditation or struggle when doing so alone, this class is a perfect way to make the whole experience seem effortless.
Benefits of meditation
A study from UCLA found that long-term meditators had better-preserved brains than non-meditators as they aged. Participants who’d been meditating for an average of 20 years had more grey matter volume throughout the brain – although older meditators still had some volume loss compared to younger meditators, it wasn’t as pronounced as the non-meditators.

Improve your attention, concentration and overall psychological well-being with a meditation + stretching class every Monday and Wednesday throughout October.
